Students from Invenio Academy took part in the BBC’s World Class assembly: the world’s biggest assembly. This assembly was attended by students across the world, and by students from Branson and Pleasence representing Invenio as part of their regular assembly programme. Students watched a short video clip outlining some of the concerns of students from Brazil, Africa, Japan, Italy and elsewhere, before voting on the things that mattered most.
Ahead of the assembly, students had been voting on an online survey to identify some things which mattered to them about their school, local, national or international community. These were used as the basis for the discussion in the assembly, in addition to topics suggested by students in the assembly.
As the picture shows, students voted overwhelmingly to say that friends and family were what mattered most to them. It was a similar story on the online survey – but there is still time to have your say, by visiting: http://tinyurl.com/inveniobbc.
